two incredibly exciting *xanga worthy* notes.
first, i talked with my friend Brittany last night for close to an hour.
Now that may not seem especially ...noteworthy.
But Brittney is a spiritualist of sorts; very new-agish. A fasinating, intelligent, energetic, inspiring person. But without Christ. I've talked with her before (intellectually) about CHristianity,but she always viewed the conversations as purely interesting, not potentially life-changing.
But last night, she was struggling with things she could no longer control...things she thougth she could control. She was broken.
and she listened. to me talk about Jesus. She asked questions! She was listening!! She was going to read Psalms and the gospels last night. She was thinking about Jesus! Really! she is so close to accepting him, I know it.

and, I think I have finally found what I need to do with my close- at-hand future. (like, in the next year or two).
I think...
I'll go to Taiwan with Youth With A Mission. (YWAM).
For three months, I 'll attend their Discipleship Training School, learn about God and Chinese *whoo*
THen, go to CHina for three months and do my internship.
and this could possibly, maybe, kinda, hopefullly happen next January.

I'm so totally
THRILLED.
I talked with a lady at the Jacksonville YWAM and she was very informative about the program. basically, I would spend the first twelve weeks in bible study, mission focus and evanglism, with a focus on frontier missions in small, out-of-the-way Chinese towns. All the while, I would be in Taipei, right down the street from the Univeristy, so we would hang out with CHinese students and get to know them, talk about Jesus, etc. And then, the last three months, would be actually in China doing what we've been trained to do.
i'm ... just so excited.
